TOGETHER WITH THE IFS FOUNDATION, WE HELP IMPROVE ACCESS TO
CLEAN WATER IN PUTTALAM, SRI LANKA

RIGSERV is pleased to announce that the construction of the water well project in Sri Lanka which is organized by the IFS Foundation is now underway. The new water treatment facility is being constructed at a local medical center in Weralugahamula, which can provide up to 6,000 liters of fresh drinking water daily to support the medical staff.

The Story

Our connection to Sri Lanka is something we have in common and share with IFS. IFS through the IFS Foundation works in partnership with Sri Lankan communities to alleviate poverty in the country.

The IFS Foundation believes that education is one of the key drivers to alleviating poverty as it aims to promote positive change and long-term sustainability. This belief strongly aligns with our own CSR initiatives: to support social causes that create meaningful impact in communities.

To achieve this, the IFS Foundation is taking an integrated approach, investing in projects that improve sanitation, access to fresh water, healthcare, and employment opportunities, alongside building education infrastructure.

The IFS Foundation is looking to improve access to clean water in the area through the installation of tube wells and water purification systems.

RIGSERV initiated a fund raising activity that raised Us$15,000 to help build 3 tube wells and a purification plant that will provide access to clean water to residents in the local community.
